The Intel® Buzz Workshop finally made its stop in Austin, TX at VUKA, a gorgeous co-working space in the heart of the developer community. On Oct. 15, more than 150 game devs attended the Buzz Workshop, bringing their excitement, passion and love of all things games!
Attendees were very enthusiastic about meeting industry mavens and came ready to tackle the biggest challenges in the industry today. Participants saw demos from Intel, RealSense and Unity, got to check out awesome speaker sessions, AND play nine local indie dev games in the showcase!
At 11am, Josh Doss at Intel gave a warm welcome to all attendees. Next, Warren Spector, Director of the Denius-Sams Gaming Academy, gave an inspirational keynote and shared stories from his 30 years of experience in the game industry. Stephanie Orkand, Tess Snider, Sheri Graner Ray and Jennifer Bullard, joined us for the Women in Games Panel. They each shared their years of experience and gave passionate and important advice to the audience.
After lunch, we welcomed Joe Scheinberg of Intel to talk about Intel®’s RealSense™ technology and how this technological breakthrough can enhance the gaming experience. Next, it was Corey Johnson who gave some great tips on building games using Unity 3D engine.
