We kicked off Friday, April 29th, at La maison syndicale of Lens created by miner unions back in 1906. About 75 people came together to celebrate and innovate around culture, sport and city experience themes. A 48-hour hackathon mixed with RC Lens supporters, artists, sportives, and developers in order to revolutionize and disrupt Culture as its global term meaning mind and body.
Bruno Cavaco, president of Louvre Lens Vallée welcomed everyone to the event followed by a positive and boosting pitch of Wafâa Maadnous CEO of Louvre Lens Vallée.
Each idea generator, inspired by a solution that can change
Culture came on stage to pitch it at the front of the crowd in one minute. 17 ideas pitched later, teams formed through a poker chip game and started to code. Charles Delobel from Orange Nord did a workshop on innovation.
Then was the code, code, sleep and code again… On Saturday,
it was all about coding but not quite all…. Shichiro Kobayashi, film art director had an exhibition and facilitated a workshop on manga drawings.
Ghislain Domniné Digital project manager gave a workshop on auto-edition and the KDP amazon platform.
At the end of the day to celebrate sport topic, participants were invited to join the Lens #holyrun, 5 kilometers to run…A run in the city sprinkled by people throwing colored pounders to runners.
To round up the first day, TEDx were held at the Stadium Bollaert-Delelis.
Let’s see what the final demos will bring on. 16 projects are competing for the four prizes: Arties, City Xperience, “coup de coeur jury” and Sport.
Get some rest and see you tomorrow #culturathon2016.
