A $1 Million Announcement

We have an exciting announcement:

The

$1M Hackathon from Salesforce is back, Only Bigger and Better!

This year there will be 35 cash prizes totaling $1 Million. Everyone will get a chance to demonstrate their app, the hackathon will have “science-fair” style judging and clarity on what code you can use. Participants have the option to build their app with Force.com, Heroku, or a combination of both. Plus, everyone is free to use a host of open source favorites such as Node, Postgres, Python, and Ruby. Even if you are a newbie with Salesforce technologies, there will be handy workshops and plenty of tech-support geeks on-site.

The fun doesn’t just stop with hacking, there will be other activities such as Twitter challenges, paper plane flying lessons, drone races, and more! Plus plenty of yummy food to keep you energized throughout the weekend. Remember, a well fed developer is a happy developer.

Space is limited and registration for the event is growing daily. It’s a free event so get your spot HERE and spread the word.

Tweet with #dfhack14 and tell us what awesome app you want to build and invite your community!
